STH’s philosophy of
constantly striving to better serve our client’s needs is reflected by
the firms commitment to utilize the latest computer technology in our
architectural practice. STH has invested considerable resources to equip
our staff with all of the tools necessary for design, engineering,
production, project management, quality control, specifications and
business management. STH operates 40+ fully equipped Cadd stations.
Pentium 4 Hyper Threading Cadd stations with 2 GB of RAM running Windows
XP Professional are utilized to run the most demanding software
applications. Each Cadd station utilizes the latest AutoCAD
Architectural Desktop release.
Communicating with
clients and consultants is efficiently handled through STH’s SDSL
Internet Connection Line (24-Hours a day connectivity) with integrated
Email on its own dedicated server. STH also offers high speed uploads
and downloads via their FTP website.
The main STH server
features a 3 GHz Xeon Processor, (6) 72 GB Ultra SCSI Hard Drives, 1 GB
Ram, 100 megabit transfer rate, DLT Digital Backup Archiving System, and
securely runs the RAID Level 5 storage system. An advanced hardware
firewall protects the server from outside intrusions. STH’s
comprehensive and standardized detail library resides on the main server
accessible to all Cadd Stations.
STH also employs digital
imaging technologies for graphic presentations. Utilizing programs such
as Adobe Photoshop CS, scanned images can be manipulated to illustrate
various design solutions. STH has also expanded its 3D Modeling
capabilities through the use of AutoCAD Viz 2006 visualization software
as well video editing with Adobe Premier.
Graphic capabilities are
handled through a Tektronix Phaser 7700 single pass hi-capacity color
laser printer, an Oce Print Server as well as a 600 dpi Large Format HP
2500 CP Color Plotter. STH also offers in-house 11”x17” full color
scanning through a Umax Powerlook 2100xl flatbed scanner, as well as hi
resolution (4000 dpi) scanning through a Nikon Super Coolscan 4000
dedicated film scanner. STH also employs the use of multiple 5.0
megapixel digital cameras for on-site project progress and
documentation. Design presentations are creatively handled through the
use of PowerPoint XP presentation Software, and an Dell 2.0 GHz Centrino
Intel M Processor in conjunction with a Viewsonic 1700 Lumen Data
Projector. All of these technologies have made STH extremely proficient
in communicating as well as producing superior quality work each and
every time. |
