In 1968, Ronald D. Schwab and Paul M. Twitty combined their talents to form Schwab & Twitty Architects, Inc. In the ensuing years, the firm grew to prominence, recognized for its innovative design of private residences and condominium towers as well as public buildings. A myriad of Schwab & Twitty designed office towers appeared throughout Palm Beach County, dramatically influencing the area's skyline. On the eve of their 20th anniversary in 1987, the founding partners, together with then Executive Vice President William A. Hanser, established STH Architectural Group, Inc. and designated Bill Hanser, the president.

Acknowledging the era of specialization, the STH Group embraced various separate firms, each with skilled staff to address the design of residential, recreational, commercial, and governmental projects, including renovation and interior design.
