STH
provided full architectural design services for this new School of
Pharmacy as part of a larger Arts & Humanities complex for Palm Beach
Atlantic University located in downtown West Palm Beach, Florida. The
Master Planning phase incorporates a town center concept into the
design. One building of this new complex is the 4-story 41,332 s.f.
Gregory Hall Building which houses the School of Pharmacy. The new
school features the Charles Nicklaus Lecture Hall as well as three
additional 1,800 s.f. lecture halls with moveable partitions located on
the ground floor. Upper floors contain teaching spaces, classrooms,
laboratories, a simulated pharmacy, counseling rooms, as well as a drug
information center, student lounge, faculty offices and the dean’s
office. The complex has been carefully designed to fit into an already
established urban college campus. This was accomplished through the use
of similar materials & colors as well as complimentary massing and
architectural detailing. |
