STH expanded and
reconfigured an existing site that included a lake and several
contemporary buildings to create waterfront vistas, a blending of stucco
and metal roofs and new facilities while maintaining an seamless
transition from old to new. Over 186,000 square feet of new facilities
include a Fellowship Commons area, bookstore, pastor visitor gathering
area, a fully operational restaurant, educational and administration
areas. The Fellowship Commons area was designed to connect all the
existing buildings. The 4-story, 92,000 square foot senior adult
education center houses a state of the art gymnasium and new Senior High
Student Center with a black box theatre. Joining the new and existing
buildings , and reconfiguring the lake for retention and views helped
blend, update and present this exciting facility while maintaining its
established, cherished appearance. |
