STH provided full
architectural design and master planning services for the First Baptist
Church of Fort Lauderdale located on busy Broward Boulevard in downtown
Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The centerpiece of the new plan is a new
two-story Family Life Center that houses a new education / childcare
center on the first floor, and a fellowship hall with commercial kitchen
and a cafe on the second floor. The new family life center creates a new
gateway into the urban campus that will lead to a new parking garage,
book store, future classroom buildings and landscaped plazas beyond.
Additionally STH provided services for the
renovation of an existing chapel / fellowship hall into a new Youth
Center. The new center features a large recreational area complete with
a performance stage, a mezzanine lounge with pool tables, and several
refreshment locations on both levels. The use of high tech interior
finishes and the incorporation of sound, video, and lighting systems
into the design, create an innovative atmosphere. |
