The new Mary Alice
Fortin Building includes a four-story administrative, classroom, and library facility
located at The Rosarian Academy in downtown West Palm Beach, Florida. The new building
will provide the centerpiece of the Academy's campus.
The building has been designed with a Mediterranean architectural
vocabulary. Special efforts were made to blend the new building with the existing campus
design. The Porte-cochere with reading room above is topped by a cupola that
establishes the character of the building. The Spanish tile roof reinforces the
Mediterranean design. The first floor of the 32,000 square foot structure houses
administrative offices and conference rooms. The remaining floors have four classrooms
each, including a science lab, a library, drama and computer learning centers. STH provided full architectural services for this design-build project
with Weitz Construction. |
