This 62,000 square foot
enclosed sports and recreation facility includes an 1,800 seat arena / gymnasium,
intramural gym, racquetball courts with mezzanine viewing, complete fitness center,
aerobics room, training center, snack bar / cafe, classrooms, sports medicine labs, and
administrative offices. Support functions include locker rooms, laundry, and storage
areas. The facility was also designed to house a future aquatic center containing a
25-meter pool.
The architecture of the new sports and recreational complex have been
designed to blend with and accommodate the existing campus vocabulary. This new complex
was completed and opened in 1998. |
