Sth was
engaged to design a new state of the art engineering science and
technology facility for Florida Gulf Coast University to house its
growing engineering and computer science program. The 70,000 square
foot, 4-story facility will house undergraduate programs in engineering
including: Bio/Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physical/Civil
Engineering and Environmental Engineering. The facility’s design
utilizes the principals of Project Kaleidoscope fostering a highly
interactive environment where students learn the math and sciences
through problem solving using ‘Scale-Up’ lab environments. The
architecture of the facility is being developed to act as a learning
tool for the students, employing systems to teach students scientific
principals. |
