STH Architectural Group, Inc. provided full architectural services for this
award winning 76,100 square foot science and classroom building located at the Davie Campus of Florida Atlantic University in Davie, Florida. The design reflects both BCC and FAU Master Planning requirements. The building includes classrooms, research and teaching laboratories as well as private offices for staff members. Guidelines for the use of materials, such as brick, were carefully implemented in the design. Sensitivity to campus massing resulted in a stepped facade with a continuous arcade that brings the building into scale with the rest of the campus.
Extensive use of drawings, models, and computer generated views allowed the client to make informed decisions regarding the design throughout the designing process. |
