provided full architectural services for this new 48,800 s.f. two-story
Institute of Public Safety located on the main campus of Broward
Community College in Davie, Florida. This facility accommodates highly
technical education training for future police personnel. Included in
the program is a 22 lane state-of-the-art shooting range, 8
multi-purpose classrooms, administrative offices, 2 tactical defense
training rooms and locker room facilities. The ends of the building were
designed to reflect the adjacent existing public safety building. The
center two-story portion is framed by two curved stair towers and has a
curved roof to accommodate the vaulted training room inside. The area
between the two buildings was developed to function as a shared, formal
courtyard. |
